WINTER SKIN CARE ROUTINE
Hi there! ☺
In these cold months, I have the same problem every year. Dry skin on my face, my hands, ... everywhere!
It took me years to figure out how to treat my skin and which products to use so that my skin looks better, feel softer and moisturized.
So I want to share my winter skin routine with you, and hopefully, it helps some of you.
After a long day of wearing makeup, I can not wait to get home and take it off and let my skin breath.
I figured that if I wear a ton of makeup when it's really cold outside, my skin tends to get super dry and it starts to break out.
So I stick to my basics every day, which means a bit of concealer under my eyes to cover up the dark circles and on my spots, if I have any, I set it with a powder, maybe a little bit of bronzer, sometimes a bit of mascara and the most important thing for me lip balm, to keep my lips nice and moisturized.
First thing I do to take my makeup off, I soak two cotton pads with Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water for sensitive skin and I remove any mascara if I wore it that day and the concealer.
Then I would take a makeup remover wipe, recently I have been loving the Nive MicellAIRskin breath expert wipes with black tea. They remove all the excess makeup and my skin feels really soft and fresh after using them.
After that, I wash my face. I used to use the essence pure skin anti-spot cream wash, but I bought a Nivea Aqua effect cream wash a few weeks ago and gave it a try. And I think I prefer the Nivea to the essence one, just because it's much softer on my skin since I do have very sensitive skin, and I also found it much more moisturizing.
After I wash my face I dry it with a face flannel with tapping off the excess water. I don't rube it because that irritates the skin and you are left with a tomato red face. Not good.
For moisturizer, I use the Garnier Botanical Cream with rose water. I love it because a small amount goes a long way. It's really soft on my skin and it's almost like it has a cooling feeling to it so it calms down any redness on my face.
A few times a week I also like to do a face mask or a scrub. Lately, I have been obsessed with sheet masks. I love the Garnier ones (Can you tell I love Garnier products? 😅) but right now I have a few random ones that I got as a Christmas present to use, which are not to bad, but I do still prefer the Garnier ones.
I think it's really important to take care of your skin all year round, but especially in the winter months since the cold and wind can really dry your skin out and it tends to take a lot longer to get it back to normal if you don't take good care of it.

I will see you soon with a new post!
