Medeja's Life

Hi there! ☺

I have been walking around the shops the other day and I found myself in the skin care aisle.
I stopped in front of the L'oreal counter because I have been seeing so many commercials about their Pure - clay line.

I picked up two products from that line. One is Pure - Clay Illuminating cleansing gel that claims to cleanse removes impurities and gives a glow to your skin. The second one is the Pure - Clay Anti-blemish mask that claims to reduce blackheads and visibility of pores.

I have been using these two products for over two weeks now. The cleansing gel every day at least once a day, sometimes even twice and three times a week the face mask.

The consistency of the cleansing gel is a bit more watery than I expected the fact that it is a gel an I thought I will have to use a lot of it for one use, but it is actually really good. You need a really small amount of the products to get rid of any leftover makeup left on your face, it foams up a little bit but not too much, it changes colour from dark grey almost black to light grey.

After I am done with the gel I wash it off and then put on the face mask.

The mask has a pretty thick consistency but it's still very soft and buttery and easy to apply. I cover my face with a thin layer of the mask, wait about 10 minutes until it's dry and then I take a wet flannel and wash it off.
Just after a few uses I actually noticed the difference in my skin. I feel like my skin looks more glowy than before and it also cleaned up quite a bit.

Another thing that I have been trying out is the Revlon Colorstay foundation. I have heard so many people talk about this foundation, saying what an amazing coverage it has, how long wearable it is, so I decided to give it a go. They have to versions of the foundation.
One is for combination/oily skin and the other one is for normal/dry skin type.

I went for the second one because I have been having some dry patches on my face since the weather is really cold and windy and I prefer my foundation looking dewier than matt, I think it makes my skin look healthier and glowy.

The colour range was not the best at the store I went to. So I went online to check their colour range on the official website and I found a lot of light shades but very little dark shades, so if you have darker skin I feel like you might have a little problem with choosing your shade.
Also, I found that they had twice as many shades in the formula for combination/oily skin than for normal/dry skin.

I tend to have a problem with the foundation coming off of my nose throughout the day. I don't know whether is because I wear glasses of if there is any other reason, but I find that even if In use primer with it it doesn't really help. Overall I think that the foundation was very nice. I got the shade 150 buff, which fits me perfectly.
I wore it for about 9 maybe 10 hours and it did come off in a few places but it wasn't really noticeable. I do think is a good foundation, it's lightweight, not too cakey at the end of the day, also the price is pretty good. I would recommend it for sure, just make sure you set it with fixing spray so it stays on longer.

The last thing I tested was an Into the snow glow fixing spray from Essence. I was drawn to it mostly because it has the word glow in the name. It claims that it makes your make up long lasting and a luminous glow. It does have very fine glitter inside, so you have to shake it well before use

. It does the job. It's not my favourite, because when you spray it, it doesn't come out like a mist it just kind of squirts into your face. You can fix that by putting it in a different bottle but it would be nice if you didn't have to. But again it is a nice product that gets the job done.

Thank you so much for reading!
I will see you soon with a new post!

XOXO
